Mr. Shekhar G. Patel is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ganesh Housing Corporation Ltd., one of Gujarat’s leading real estate developers. He has been associated with the company for over three decades, bringing more than 30 years of industry experience. During this time, he has played a pivotal role in the organisation’s growth and diversification. He brings to the Board extensive expertise in design and planning, business development, strategic leadership, risk management, and corporate governance. Under his stewardship, Ganesh Housing has conceived and delivered numerous landmark developments, comprising approximately 22.5 million square feet of built space across residential townships and commercial developments.
As Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Patel has been instrumental in transforming Ganesh Housing from a regional family-owned business into a publicly listed real estate enterprise recognised for innovation and sustainable growth. He oversaw the company’s historic listing on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), making Ganesh Housing one of the first real estate developers from Gujarat to be listed on both exchanges. Under his leadership, the company has achieved sustained growth while expanding its renewable energy portfolio to complement its real estate operations.
In April 2025, Mr. Patel assumed the office of National President of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI), representing more than 13,000 developers across 221 city chapters in 21 states.
His leadership within CREDAI spans several key positions, including President of CREDAI Ahmedabad (2007–2009), Chairman of CREDAI Gujarat (2017–2019), National Treasurer (2017–2019), and National Vice President (2019–2023). As National President, he has championed the revision of the affordable housing definition by advocating for a higher price cap that better reflects prevailing market conditions. He is also leading the establishment of the CREDAI Data Analytics Hub, an initiative to integrate RERA and sales data to enhance transparency and strengthen data-driven decision-making across the real estate sector.
Mr. Patel’s vision places strong emphasis on skill development, sustainability, and carbon-neutral construction practices, aligning the industry with India’s environmental and economic aspirations.
