Mr. Boman Irani is a distinguished entrepreneur and industry leader with over three decades of experience in real estate, education, and brand revitalisation. He is the Chairman and Managing Director of Rustomjee Group, one of Mumbai’s leading real estate developers, which he founded in 1996. Under his leadership, the company has grown into one of India’s most respected property brands, recognised for its commitment to quality, innovation, and thoughtfully designed urban communities.
Mr. Irani has led the development of millions of square feet of residential, commercial, and township projects while consistently maintaining a customer-centric approach. He is also a strong advocate for sustainability, corporate governance, and social impact through initiatives such as the Rustom Irani Foundation and the Rustomjee Academy for Global Careers (RAGC), which have advanced education and skill development for thousands of students.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI), the apex body representing real estate developers across the country. In this role, he actively contributes to industry advocacy, public policy dialogue, and the advancement of India’s real estate sector.
Beyond real estate, Mr. Irani has played a significant role in preserving and revitalising iconic motorcycle brands, including Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA, building on his family’s entrepreneurial legacy.
As a member of GREMI’s Advisory Board, Mr. Irani brings extensive industry experience, strategic leadership, and a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and nation-building, supporting the Institute’s vision of developing future-ready leaders for the built environment.
