Ms. Shikha Sharma is a distinguished leader in India’s banking and financial services sector, best known for her tenure as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Axis Bank, where she served for nearly a decade. Under her leadership, Axis Bank strengthened its position as one of India’s leading private sector banks, achieving sustained growth, expanding its retail and corporate banking businesses, and enhancing its governance, risk management, and operational capabilities.

Ms. Sharma began her career with the ICICI Group, where she played a pivotal role in establishing ICICI Prudential Life Insurance as its founding Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Over the course of her distinguished career, she has developed deep expertise in banking, financial services, institutional leadership, and large-scale organisational transformation.

She is widely recognised for her strategic vision, commitment to ethical leadership, and ability to navigate complex regulatory and economic environments.
