Mr. Raj Vikash Verma is the Independent Director and Non-Executive Chairman of Aadhar Housing Finance Ltd. and the former Chairman and Managing Director of the National Housing Bank (NHB). With over 40 years of distinguished experience across banking, finance, housing finance, mortgage, real estate, and financial regulation, he has held several of India’s most influential leadership positions in the sector.

Mr. Verma began his career with the Reserve Bank of India and subsequently served as Chairman and Managing Director of the National Housing Bank. He was also the founding Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, as well as the Central Registrar, of the Central Registry of Securitisation Asset Reconstruction and Security Interest of India (CERSAI). In addition, he served as Member and Chairman of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) and as Chairman of India Mortgage Guarantee Corporation.

Throughout his career, Mr. Verma has led several landmark initiatives and played a pivotal role in formulating innovative national-level schemes and programmes for affordable and low-income housing on behalf of the National Housing Bank and the Government of India. He has held numerous board and advisory positions, including Chairman of AU Small Finance Bank, Consultant to the World Bank Group, and Member of the Advisory Committee of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI). He also served two terms as Chairman of the Asia Pacific Union for Housing Finance (APUHF).

Mr. Verma holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers.
