Dr. Parvinder Gupta is an educator and Professor of Organisational Behaviour. She earned her PhD in Psychology from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur).
Dr. Gupta’s primary academic interest lies in basic and applied research on human behaviour across diverse socio-cultural settings and organisational contexts. Her teaching, consultancy, and research interests include leadership, team development and excellence, individual and interpersonal dynamics, organisational transformation, and organisational culture.
She served as a Professor in the Organisational Behaviour Area at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) from 1997 to 2026. During her tenure at IIMA, she held several key leadership positions, including Chairperson of the Organisational Behaviour Area and Chairperson of the Armed Forces Programme. She also served on numerous institutional committees, including Placements, Admissions, Executive Education (Management Development Programmes), the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) Review Committee, the PGPX Executive Committee, and the Policy and Perspective Committee.
Dr. Gupta has authored two books, numerous journal articles and research papers, and several teaching cases. She has been recognised with awards for Best Teacher and Best Research Paper.
She has extensive experience in designing, developing, and delivering both short-term and long-term management education programmes for senior executives and officers from government, public sector, and private sector organisations.
